I am a fellow in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and have recently completed a doctorate in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. Prior to the start of my doctoral work, I completed the BPhil in philosophy at Oxford, and a BA (hons) in philosophy at the University of Toronto.
My research focuses on the political philosophy of Immanuel Kant. My dissertation developed a novel reading of Kant's account of citizenship, but I am also interested in his views on state authority and legitimacy, provisional rights and the state of nature, and welfare and redistribution.
In addition to my interest in Kant, I am also interested in contemporary political philosophy and applied ethics.
